Who we are
We started to give Turkish voices to work we love.
Aletheia began in 2022, on the day we recorded the Turkish version of an anime scene among ourselves and asked, "what would it take to do this properly?"
01Who we are
How it started
The first recording happened in a living room with a single USB microphone. The result was bad but useful: the lip sync didn’t hold, two voices came from two different rooms, and nobody knew who was reading which line. That day we decided that if we were going to do this, we’d do it like a studio, even without being paid.
Why we exist
There is a real gap in Turkish dubbing, especially for anime and independent games. Professional studios often can’t reach these works; fan dubs often compromise on technical quality or on respect for rights holders. We want to stand between the two: volunteer, but careful.
What we do and don’t do
- We voice works when we can get permission from the rights holder, and we say so openly.
- We earn no income from what we make. No donations, no ad revenue, no sponsorship.
- Team members aren’t paid, and nobody charges anybody.
- If a rights holder asks us to take something down, we take it down, no argument.
